About
After graduating from Cornell University with a BFA in Fine Arts and a minor in creative writing, I worked as the Senior Manager of Creative Design at Advocates for Youth, a nonprofit dedicated to "young people's rights to honest sexual health information; accessible, confidential, and affordable sexual health services; and the resources and opportunities necessary to create sexual health equity for all youth" for over five years before becoming the Graphic + UX Designer at Movement Voter Project. I’ve honed my skills and developed the tools to conceptualize and produce compelling visuals and branding for a diverse set of campaigns and issues — all in the pursuit of a future that prioritizes justice and bodily autonomy for all.
Born in D.C. and raised in Maryland, I spent a lot of time reading, writing, daydreaming out classroom windows, and developing a love for all things visual. From my varied experiences I have learned how to be a part of a team and how to lead one, how to think big before small, and how to maintain a sense of humor even if the going gets tough—or tougher.
Growing up I learned on walks with my Bubbe the stories and beauty in the overlooked parts of the world. We would return from our walks around the neighborhood with handfuls of trash--but to her they were tiny treasures, small pockets of history that had come and gone before we rescued them from further despair. In our hands--with our minds--the flattened hairspray cans, frayed fabrics, and other assorted discoveries were new again. We set to work straight away spinning our thread into gold. My aim is to bring this sense of possibility to all of my work--no matter the subject, medium or mode. Storytelling is an essential aspect to my creative vision, and an integral strategy for bringing about change, through starting and shifting cultural conversations.
If you have any questions or comments about my work, want to make something awesome together or just want to kick back, relax, & clink imaginary bottles of pop and talk, please feel free to reach out.
